I was having a really hard time deciding who to put as SOTM for June, but then Line put up a truely stunning layout on her site. The colors on it make me just extremely jealous. Just take a look at it and you will get what I mean. Her site has been around for quite some time and she has so many freaking goodies that it scares me. She has a huge amount of textures for us to use and I commend her for that completely, especially since I can't make one to save my life. On top of her giant amount of textures, she has an amazing gallery of art to browse through. I am always amazed by the art that she makes ... not to mention that her Twilight art and manips are just to die for. So please PLEASE go to her site and be amazed. Edward demands it.

This month's site of the month is Shattered, owned by Line.
Line is by brand new affiliate, and to top it off, my newest Site of the Month! I have always been a fan of Shattered, and Line's work, but lately I've found myself ogling her art a little more - due to the newest obsession that's swept the community, Twilight! Line has got some fantastic Twilight pieces to show off, along with a variety of other series too. There's various goodies available too, including a whole pile of textures to snag! Congratulations to Line @ Shattered for winning the April 2008 Artist of the Month!
The one thing that I can absolutely adore about Line's work is her simplicity. I always feel like I have to stuff my work with texture, brushes, words, images, etc, but Line has a much better understanding of composition and coloring that I could ever hope to grasp. I love her blending and intimate image selection and how they tell the story rather than the text. Her coloring is unique and in your face without being bright or annoying, very beautiful work creating a consistency through her pieces for the subject matter and the background noise. And as one of the fellow Shia-Whores, I have to bow to her awesome celebrity selection, including television shows and movies. Not only does she offer amazing art, but she has a vast selection of goodies, including textures and tutorials, making an all around fantastic site to rival her art work. Congrats again, sweets!

Shattered, is an amazing site I can't believe I have overlooked giving this award to. Line is an amazing artist with a very unique style. Her use of color and composition are always amazing to look at and her use of filters really is what inspired me to play around with them. She has a very wonderful sense for picking a scene and really opening it up to her viewers. I truly love the rawness she brings to the characters, stripping away and really giving us a look at who the character really is. Be sure to check out her art and have a look at her goodies section for some amazing and useful textures and stocks. Whenever in doubt about what to use, they always bring new substance and depth to a piece!

Line is so full of awesome! She's one of the most talented fanartists I know. She has this way of giving her pieces that painted look, without overdoing it. She's one of the few people who I think really nailed celebrity art, giving it so much feeling and passion. And no matter what she thinks, she can pretty much tackle any style she tries and make it her own. Before I get even more gushy and sycophantic now... Shattered is an absolutely gorgeous site. It's well-organized and well-designed. You can easily find exactly what you're looking for, and there's so much to look for! There are great textures, stocks, scans and tutorials that are ever-so-helpful, in addition to all that wonderful Line art!
